Mario Vasilev graduated from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Bulgaria in September 2021. Still a student his captivating stage presence impresses the casting agencies in the country. This brings him successful roles in a variety of television productions some of which are the awarded TV series “The Hunt for Salamander” and “Stolen Life”. Mario continued to increase experience by performing in some of the most established theatres in Bulgaria – National Music Theatre, Youth Theatre in Sofia, and the Drama Theatre in Gabrovo. His first feature film role was in “Strah” (also known as “Fear”), which premiered internationally in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2020 and won numerous awards. In 2021 his graduation performance “Bustle” won the prestigious award “Zlaten Kukerikon” for debut performance of the year.
